Richmond Symphony League's 55th Annual Student Concerto Competition 

                                                      Sponsored by the Elinor and Frank Kuhn Concerto Competition Fund

Since 1969, the Richmond Symphony League has hosted this student concerto competition to encourage and recognize young musicians from Virginia.  The competition is open to classically-trained instrumental music students who have not graduated from high school who play woodwind, brass, string, piano and percussion instruments. The concerto Competition has been chosen to receive a Classic Award of Excellence from the Volunteer Council of the League of American Orchestras in recognition of the longevity of this competition.

Thanks to all of the wonderfully talented performers participating in the January 3, 2026 Competition.  Congratulations to each of these students for their hard work and beautiful performances.  We are also grateful to the parents, accompanists, teachers, and everyone else who helped with or supported the musicians.
